We are seeking an experienced English to Chuukese interpreter for a remote, freelance interpreter project. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of interpretation assignments, ensuring accurate and culturally sensitive real-time interpretation between English and Chuukese in both spoken and written forms.

Job Description:

• Provide real-time interpretation from English to Chuukese and vice versa in meetings, phone calls, video conferences, or events.
• Ensure accurate and culturally appropriate interpretation, maintaining the integrity of the source message.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism during all interpreting sessions.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet deadlines and client expectations.
• Assist in both formal and informal interpretation settings, adapting to the needs of the project.

Requirements:

• Native Chuukese speaker with proficiency in English.
• Proven experience as an interpreter, with at least 3-5 years of professional experience.
• Strong understanding of both English and Chuukese languages and cultures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to facilitate smooth communication between speakers.
• Reliable internet connection for remote work, with access to video and audio platforms for virtual interpretation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
