We are seeking an experienced English to Marshallese consecutive interpreter for a freelance, remote project. The role involves facilitating real-time, two-way consecutive interpretation between English and Marshallese, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and cultural sensitivity.

Job Description:

• Provide two-way consecutive interpretation between English and Marshallese during meetings, conferences, or virtual sessions.
• Ensure accurate transmission of meaning, tone, and cultural context between both languages.
• Adapt interpretation style to suit various contexts (e.g., legal, medical, business, and community settings).
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to meet interpretation requirements and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Native or fluent speaker of Marshallese with excellent proficiency in English.
• Minimum 3 years of professional consecutive interpretation experience.
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances and idiomatic expressions in both English and Marshallese.
• Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Reliable internet connection for remote interpretation work.
• Ability to interpret in both directions (English to Marshallese and Marshallese to English) with accuracy and professionalism.
